Hoping for the success experienced by the 50 State Quarters, the US is thinking again of trying out a dollar coin. We already have two other dollar coins, usually given out by US Post Office vending machines and shunned like the $2 bill, but this dollar coin would be hit not because folks would use it but because, like the 50 State Quarters, folks will collect them.
